Plans to demolish and rebuild a 35m masonry boundary wall in a Norfolk coastal town have been given the go ahead.
A section of the wall on Gales Road in Wells-next-the-Sea is missing following impact from a vehicle trailer, with another section suffering from "eroded and spalling masonry units", according to the application.
The applicant, Martin Burrell, from Flagship Group, proposed to dismantle and reconstruct the wall in its entirety to match the existing form.
To do so, the road may be subject to partial closure to ensure work is carried out safely.
The wall is part of the property at 1 Gales Road and lies adjacent to Theatre Road.
Rossi Long Consulting, on behalf of Mr Burrell, said: "It is intended to construct the wall to modern standards but to replicate the details of the existing wall using matching bricks and coping details constructed in lime mortar to retain the character of the elevation."
Both North Norfolk District Council and Wells Town Council supported the plans.
