People across the county are preparing to look to the skies tonight in the hopes of witnessing a spectacular Northern Lights display.
The Met Office has predicted auroral activity to peak tonight and into tomorrow morning making the possibility of an illuminated sky.
Tonight's lights are due to a recent solar expulsion, called a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), creating the chance to see the lights with the naked eye.
A Met Office spokesman said: "Aurora activity is expected to peak on Monday following the forecast arrival of a coronal mass ejection.

“However, for the UK, this period is expected to coincide with daylight hours.
“Lingering effects are still likely to persist into Monday night and early Tuesday morning though, meaning that aurora is likely to be visible where skies are clear.
“It’s not possible to predict how far south the coronal mass ejection may be seen or pick out cities."
Although some patchy cloud is forecast for the county tonight remote, open areas with views of the northern horizon are best for sightings.
