A business near a former RAF airfield has been given the go-ahead to build three new warehouses.
A planning application for a building in Flag Street, near Tattersett Business and Leisure Park, was recently granted approval for the construction of two buildings that will serve as three warehouses.
Fang Wang, the applicant, also applied for the installation of 22 solar panels and two wind turbines on the same property, which also received the thumbs up.
Mrs Wang said the company is expanding and requires three new warehouses for storage.
She added: "The business will be employing a minimum of four new employees to work in the original warehouse."
The business is close to the former Sculthorpe airfield. Although the RAF station closed in 1992, it was one of the largest American airbases in the country owing to its strategic location.
In 2019, RAF Sculthorpe Heritage Centre opened inside the Wicken Green Rural Centre.
The centre then moved to a neighbouring building earlier this year, which used to be a chapel in the 1950s for those living at the airbase.
The area is now a training site for the Ministry of Defence.
