A public bin in a market town was vandalised just a day after being installed.
The town council at Fakenham had installed the bin in Millennium Park but just 24 hours later it was found knocked over.
The installation of the bin was announced on the council’s Facebook page, with the title "Let's keep Fakenham litter free!".
A spokeswoman for the council has confirmed it will now be “looking at ways to secure it further to prolong its life.”
She added: “It is disappointing, but not unexpected to encounter these sorts of issues, but we hope the small changes we make across our estate improve our community spaces.”
The bin was installed near the skate park, after being brought out of storage.
The spokeswoman went on to add that the bin did not appear to have suffered “any significant damage.”
In November award-winning landscape architect David Stevens was enlisted to help improve the park off Queen's Road in Fakenham. Mr Stevens visited the park to provide advice on how best to use the space.
