A new sports facility at a Fakenham school is set to open at the beginning of next year.
Development of the multi-use games area (MUGA) at Fakenham Academy began earlier this month.
The pitch will help the school to fulfil its PE curriculum, and will also be available for the community to use at weekends and on bank holidays.
Plans for the build, funded by the Sapientia Education Trust, were submitted in July, prior to them being approved last month.
Already, the formation level has been completed, while the primary drainage and perimeter pipe have also been installed.
Perimeter kerbs were installed this week, with fencing arriving early in 2023.
Jonathan Taylor, CEO of the trust, said: "Despite really wet weather of late, not much time has been lost on the project.
"By the end of next week, the pitch will begin to take shape. Early in the new year, it will start to look more like the end product."
The target date for project completion is the end of January 2023.
